They translated this episode title as "The Monster Highness" while I've seen it elsewhere called "The Prince of the Monsters" which is a way cooler title. Plus, it reminds me of "The King of the Monsters" Godzilla. Anyways, this episode begins with kids making fun of a boy that believes in monsters. Newsflash, monsters appear in Japan every week!   Ultraman Episode 25 The Mysterious Comet Tsuifon Original Air Date: January 1st, 1967 Directed by: Toshihiro Iijima Screenplay by: Bunzo Wakatsuki Review by: Toku Tom Fool I'm going to come out from the top and say that I love this episode. There's no complex storytelling but instead we get about ten minutes of giant monsters fighting which is all you need sometimes. The plot of the episode begins with a comet called Tsuifon heading to Earth. Professor Iwamoto says it has an 83% chance of hitting the Earth and if it does it will probably wipe everyone out. Well, that is until they recalculate and realize it's going to miss. The technology wasn't as good back then at calculating these comets or asteroids. The comet will fly right by Earth really close so the SSSP has to be on the lookout for anything weird happening.  It's a nervous situation at the SSSP HQ. It's so bad that Fuji accidentally puts salt in the coffee which leads to humorous reactions of everyon...

  Ultraman Episode #24 The Undersea Science Center Original Air Date: December 25th, 1966 Directed by: Toshihiro Iijima Screenplay by: Keisuke Fujikawa Review by: Toku Tom Fool Can you believe they forgot to make this a Christmas episode? Anyways, the episode begins with Hayata, Ide, and Arashi landing a Jet VTOL dangerously too close to a building. They really shouldn't let Hayata near any of these machines. The three men take an elevator down to an underwater base and Ide is a little too excited about it. A little white girl named Jenny is the 200th guest to the underwater base which means she gets a submarine ride to the new Underwater Science Center. Unlike in Willy Wonka, she isn't joined by Grandpa Joe but instead she gets stuck with the President Yoshimura who runs the center. Her father is in the episode but he isn't allowed to go for some reason which truly shows this episode was made in the 1960s.  Jenny and Yoshimura are joined on the submarine by Captain Murama...

I love collecting action figures much to the chagrin of my wallet. NECA and Hasbro pretty much own my bank account right now but the figures make me happy so I can't complain. I've been collecting Power Rangers Lightning Collection since 2019 when I bought the MMPR White Ranger. I was originally only going to collect the MMPR team like I did with the Legacy line but that evolved into me collecting every figure Hasbro puts out because I hate having money.  I've decided to put together a list of top ten Power Rangers I want in the Lightning Collection. Probably do a list of villains too but this is strictly Power Rangers. I'm big on finishing teams we've already started so I won't be including any rangers from teams Hasbro hasn't started.   Ultraman Episode #23 My Home is Earth  Original Air Date: December 18th, 1966 Directed by: Akio Jissoji Screenplay by: Mamoru Sasaki Review by: Toku Tom Fool The 23rd episode of Ultraman begins with an International Peace Conference. Being a Power Rangers fan, I instantly get worried that half the SSSP team is going away. There's some problems with this peace conference as planes keep crashing on their way there and Hayata is not piloting any of them. Paris SSSP HQ believes that someone is trying to stop the peace conference and they are making our team deal with it since the conference is taking place in Tokyo. Ide wonders which country could be behind the evil deeds but Alan, from Paris HQ, believes it could be an alien threat.  Meanwhile on Route 1, a hit and run driver is trying to get away from a police car. Apparently no monsters protect children on this route like Route 87. I guess the Route 87 monster wasn't needed as the hit and run driver runs into an invisibl...

This time they have sent sunglasses wearing Anne who is a creepy woman that won't tell Ide and Arashi anything on the train to HQ. She only wants to talk to Captain Muramatsu. I'd talk to Ide and Arashi because they seem like a couple of fun guys. Anne arrives at HQ and the first thing Muramatsu does is point a gun at her, but it turns out this is just a thing they do because it scans her badge. He's going to wish he had blown her away with a real gun. Paris has sent Anne to take Hayata to Paris SSSP HQ to be a rocket pilot trainer for the International Space Development Force. I would not want Hayata anywhere near my rockets or planes. Most planes he gets in end up destroyed. It's really dark in the SSSP HQ this episode. They must have forgot to ...
